Who I am:
I was born in and have lived my entire life in Oklahoma City - now with my wife Leah, two sons Noah and Emerson, and baby girl Eden Rejoice. We came to Bridgeway in 2011 and have fallen in love with this body of believers. We are grateful that God has led us to do life with this spiritual family, and I'm honored to serve as the pastor of Worship. I cherish slow mornings with my family, enjoy food and coffee, the outdoors, playing and writing music, and reading.
What I do:
I am passionate about exhorting the body of Bridgeway to run to the throne of grace in corporate worship, because Jesus has done everything necessary to make a way for us to draw near! I love creating music within this community, and equipping worship leaders and musicians as they hone their craft for the glory of Jesus.
What God did:
There was a time in my life when my walk with Jesus felt like a walk on shifting sand. When I was passionate in my pursuit of the Lord, I was doing great and was secure in His love. When I was suffering, apathetic, numb, or felt distant, I lived in fear of somehow slipping away, losing the relationship with my Lord and King. But in His great mercy, in 2011, the Lord led me to Bridgeway and opened my eyes anew to the reality of the Gospel, His sovereignty to save, and His ability to keep me secure and forever in His love. He opened my mind and heart to the realization that, as Romans 8 says, "NOTHING will be able to separate me from the love of God in Christ Jesus my Lord." Oh, what a balm to my weary soul. My acceptance by God and my identity as a son have everything to do with what Christ has done on my behalf. I belong to God, and am kept in God by grace, and not by my works. I have all in Christ - now and forever. There is no better news than this!
