Congratulations on you or your child’s decision to be baptized. We’re honored and excited to celebrate this moment with you! In preparation for the day of your baptism, here are some practical things for you to consider beforehand, as well as a few instructions you need to know and do.
- Be sure to invite anyone you'd like to attend the baptism service—family, friends, members of your community group, etc. During the baptism service, we'll give them the opportunity to come forward and stand beside the baptistry to demonstrate their support and celebrate with you.
- If you are being baptized during the 11:00am service, we would ask you to meet Andy Edwards at the foot of the stage in the auditorium at 10:40am. If you are getting baptized during the 9:00am service, then we would ask you to attend prayer for the morning services, held at the foot of the stage in the sanctuary at 8:30am, and then meet with him immediately following that brief time of prayer.
- Wear dark shorts and a dark shirt to maintain modesty. Bring a towel and a change of clothes. No hair products, please.
- The baptisms will be closer to the beginning of the service, just after worship and announcements and before the sermon
Lastly, please don't hesitate to e-mail Andy Edwards if you have any further questions or concerns.
