Christ-giving Dinner and Person of Peace!

POP: t is December and time for our new Person of Peace! Each month we will have a Person of Peace, which we will pray for as a HC. Please pray for these individuals and families throughout the week as well.

This month’s POP is Lilly Haas. You may remember praying for Lilly at our last HC meeting. Lilly’s family lives in Edmond, but is from Texas. They don’t have any family here in Oklahoma City, that I am aware of. Little Lilly is younger than Ellie Kate, and has a rare genetic disease as well. Her disease is extremely progressive, meaning that it will cause her body to detierirate until she passes away. Lilly too suffers from seizures and breathing problems, although hers are much more severe than Ellie Kate’s. She cannot eat by mouth at this time and is very behind developmentally as well. Lilly’s parents, Amy and Scott, are precious Believers. They took Revelation here at Bway this fall. They also have another daughter, Liberty, who I believe is three years old.

The family is asking prayer for healing. Lilly recently had a stomach surgery in Texas, and she is having a hard time getting back to her old self. She is having trouble with breathing and with seizures because of the surgery. Please pray that she will become more and more aware of her surroundings. You can also log on to Lilly’s carepage (just like Ellie Kates!). Just go to www.carepages.com and type in “Lilly Haas”.

HC name: We are now officially the Respite HC! Respite is defined as an interval of rest or relief (Mirriam Webster). This is exactly what we want to be to those in our community dealing with ill loved ones!

Christ-giving Dinner: THIS SUNDAY, DECEMBER 9th in the Backroom! Come and enjoy a pot-luck dinner as we celebrate both Thanksgiving and Christmas. If you would like to bring something, please email Ryan at tullyryan@hotmail.com. There will not be childcare this Sunday due to the nature of the dinner - it’s for all of us!

Be watching for more information to come. And, for questions or concerns, please contact Ryan or Mike at 286-1707.

Also, please feel free to invite someone to the dinner as well. This is a dinner for the entire Respite Community but guests are welcomed as well.
