latest news
Kids worship happens on the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th Sundays of the month for kids K-5th grade in the Backroom. Children can go directly to the Backroom at 10:30a and then they will be dismissed to their classes around 11:15a.
THE BASICS
Children are an important part of the kingdom of God and we recognize their function in the body. They are gifts from God and deserve a safe, positive and nurturing environment in which they can grow spiritually. While the church is a resource to support and encourage, parents are given the primary responsibility to disciple their children.
THE VISION
Our Children’s Training Center is a place to train, equip, and release children to be disciples of Jesus. We want this generation of children to grow up with a foundation for being worshipers of God for a lifetime. As lovers of God, they can be ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ (through prayer to God, praying for people, ministering to the hurting, giving encouraging words, preaching, etc.).
VALUES
We live out this vision through commitment to FOUR CORE VALUES:
UPWARD - Intimacy with God
INWARD - Community with one another
OUTWARD - Mission to those who need hope.
FORWARD - Inward transformation.
Foundational Scriptures: Joel 2:28, Luke 18:15-17; Ephesians. 4:11-13; Malachi 4:6, John 10:3-5
STRUCTURE
Our STRUCTURE is set up so that the team members rotate through one class once a month. Ann Storms is the Director. There is a leader over each area:

kids are included at house church and d-group?
We value children in our communities because Jesus values children. We want children to be active participants when we come together. While the current cultural trend is to separate parents and children in church and daily activities, we have a unique opportunity to nurture doing life together as families inside the context of a spiritual environment. So much of the traditional “church life” has stressed giving kids information to digest while parents are learning “grown-up stuff.” We believe that kids “get” church when they experience it and see it modeled in every day life—in homes, on playgrounds, at restaurants, and dinner tables. When we have children in our community they will experience the BIG love of God by being known and loved by adults and children in the group.
When God blesses parents with children, they are given the privilege to make disciples. Discipleship at its best happens in the family. When we see children getting baptized, it is apparent that moms and dads are taking that command seriously. It is no small thing to encourage children to follow the teachings of Jesus in every aspect of life—not just in a church building.
We believe that our core values apply to how we interact with children, how they interact with each other and the world around them. When a child begins internalizing the values of the kingdom at a young age, church in everyday life becomes normal. We want to equip the next generation of children to do “church” in a way that is attractive to the lost while holding to the standards of high accountability and low control.
