The K-1st grade girls d-group, aka Jesus’ Jewels, kicked off the holiday season right with a super fun Princess Party! The girls showed up to Ms. Krista’s house in their p.j.’s, ready for a night full of yummy snacks and fun activities. They played a game called “Store Up Your Treasures in Heaven,” crafted and bejeweled their own princess tiaras, and talked about being royal daughters to the King of Kings! It doesn’t get more fun than that!! Here are a few pics from the evening.

This Fall, the Sons & Daughters class (K-3rd grade) changed our class structure so that the kids could be in D-groups on Sunday mornings.  Our goal is for the kids to be in the same group all year long so they can build community with each other and be in a consistent discipleship relationship with their group leaders.  In D-group, they are able to share what’s going on in their lives, be prayed for, pray for others, and learn what it means to follow Jesus everyday.  We’ve asked the kids to come up with names for their groups.  Some are still discussing name possibilities, but two of our groups have decided on very cool names!  The K-1st grade Boys group chose “God’s Warriors” and the K-1st grade Girls group chose to call themselves “Jesus’ Jewels.”  I think those are GREAT names for our kids!  I’m so glad they see themselves as adored by Jesus and valued members of the Kingdom!
