(1) What are some of the reasons why people doubt the existence of a Devil? Are they valid reasons? If not, why not? Why do you believe in the existence of a personal spiritual being called Satan?

(2) In what ways does Satan seek to “devour” you? Talk about specific instances when you’ve come under spiritual attack? What was it like? How did you respond?

(3) What does Peter mean when he tells us to “resist” Satan? How do we do that? Be specific.

(4) How does one stand firm “in faith”? What does this mean? How does our “faith” serve to drive the Devil from us?

(5) Take a few minutes and review all of 1 Peter and identify a few of the more important themes in it. Now relate that to Peter’s statement in v. 12 that “this is the true grace of God.” What does it mean to “stand firm” in these truths? How do you do it? Give practical examples.
