We serve a global God who is actively making himself known throughout the world by calling us to be on mission with him. Bridgeway believes that the ultimate goal of missions is that Christ be known, praised and enjoyed by all peoples of the earth. We participate in local and global activities calling people to join us in the worship of our Savior. We will proclaim the gospel, simultaneously, in word and deed in order to make disciples of all nations. Although we are not limited to, we specifically focus on, church planting, serving locally in Oklahoma City, and engaging places in the world where the gospel is not yet known. These beliefs manifest themselves through praying, training, sending, and going.
Bridgeway believes it is our calling to actively pray for our missionaries, church planters, the persecuted church, and our brothers and sisters around the world. This happens in community groups, corporate body gatherings, and our quarterly 72-Hour Prayer events.
We desire to be a part of his great story by equipping the church with both knowledge and hands-on training. We help train and raise up both North American church planters and international missionaries. We educate people about God’s heart for the nations and bring awareness of global activities. We accomplish this through various mission classes and events throughout the year. Our goal is not that everyone becomes a full-time international missionary, but that every believer recognizes the call of Matthew 28:18-20 and lives life out as a World Christian. A global God produces global Christians.
Bridgeway has many people whom we support, including missionaries living internationally and church planters in the states. We partner with them through prayer and through financial support. We also send out short-term mission teams throughout the year.
Short-Term Trips: We take short-term trips so that our body can be a part of what God is doing around the world. We also go to experience first-hand his great global plan of making known his name throughout the nations. We believe short-term trips help to fulfill the long-term goal of church planting.
Serving Locally: In the Oklahoma City area, we seek to join in with what God is doing and partner with other churches and organizations in giving, serving, and proclaiming the gospel to the poor, marginalized, and those who do not know and worship Jesus. There are many ways to get involved serving locally. These opportunities include everything from helping with disaster relief, tutoring a child in reading, or being a mentor to a refugee.
